Rib Spreader stainless steel. Haight Pediatric Rib spreader is well suited for use in pediatric patients in cardiothoracic surgical procedures. Its lightweight stainless steel construction and fenestrated blades allow it to be strongly built but uniquely crafted to distribute force so as not to cause undue stress on the patient. This instrument is available in two different arm lengths so as to accommodate a variety of patients.

This instrument is comprised of premium German operating-room grade stainless steel. It is formed into a flat double-ended windowed metal strip with each blade equipped with fine teeth. This retractor is cleanly designed for optimal control when aortic retraction is necessary while allowing the surgical field to remain accessible.

Rib Spreader-Approximator stainless steel, spread: 3-1/2" (8.9 cm), arm length: 2-3/8" (6.0 cm), blades: 7/8" x 3/4" deep (2.2 x 1.9 cm) Finochietto Infant Rib Spreader-Approximator is a highly versatile instrument for infant cardiothoracic surgeries. This spreader-approximator is a multi purpose tool that can be used to separate the ribs to allow access to the surgical field by using the windowed lip blades. Uniquely, this instrument can also be used as an approximator to bring the ribs back to closure by utilizing the pointed hooks on the tip of each arm.
