For use during bipolar electrosurgical procedures, these forceps are designed with a 1.0 mm tip and a smooth jaw. Available in both insulated and insulated with irrigation. Just as with their standard counterparts, these forceps are the most common bipolar forcep model. Bipolar forceps are designed to control temperatures, minimize heat and current spread and reduce tissue sticking or charring while coagulating during bipolar electrosurgical procedures. They are available in a variety of styles that provide bipolar coagulating capabilities for a wide range of procedures: irrigating or non-irrigating (for flushing surgical site to improve visualization), with or without insulation (to eliminate conduction to surrounding tissues when performing deep procedures), straight or bayonet-shaped (to enhance visibility by keeping the surgeon's hand from the line of sight). Adson Artery Forceps Adson Artery Forceps can be used as a hemostat for general surgeries to regulate bleeding of broken arteries in the course of an operation. These forceps are developed with ring-handles and a locking ratchet to ensure a firm grasp on the artery. They are also offered in a delicate or standard pattern with the choice of curved or straight jaws.

Delicate pattern, 1x2 teeth, 7-1/8" (18.0 cm) Adson Artery Forceps are 7 1/8" and are developed with 1x2 teeth in a delicate pattern with either curved or straight jaws to suit different needs. Primarily applied during operations in which arteries need to be grasped or compressed, the teeth on the tips of the jaws interlock to confirm that a tight grip is held.

Tungsten carbide jaws Babcock Tissue Forceps have jaws that are made from tungsten carbide, the hardest metal made for surgical instruments. Precision-milled serrations are formed onto the tungsten carbide inserts, resulting in pyramid-shaped teeth that provide a non-slip grip. Pyramid-shaped teeth align perfectly with each other to provide a durable and reliable grasp of the most delicate or toughest tissues, as well as needles, sutures, dressing materials and delicate vessels. Smooth tungsten carbide inserts are also available for delicate procedures.
